Born in Munich , he began his musical studies at early age. After moving to Spain , he continued his piano studies and, at the age of 14, started studying the cello.
His Teachers include: FRANS HELMERSON, LLUIS CLARET and BERNARD GREENHOUSE. He has studied with musicians such as J. STARKER, T. TSUTSUMI, S. PALM, R. KIRSHBAUM, G. RIVINIUS, A. KAVAFIAN, D. GERINGAS, M. PRESSLER and the HAGEN STRING QUARTET.
Special mention can be made of his appearances at the SHLESWIG HOLSTEIN FESTIVAL, THE MUNICH HOCHSHULE, BULGARIA HALL, HOLLAND MUSIC SESSIONS, CONCERTGEBOUW AMSTERDAM, PALAU DE LA MÚSICA CATALANA (BARCELONA), THY MUSIC FESTIVAL (DENMARK), AUDITORIO NACIONAL DE MÚSICA (MADRID), AUDITORIO DE ZARAGOZA, PALOS VERDES MUSIC FESTIVAL (CALIFORNIA, U.S.A.), SANTA BARBARA FESTIVAL (CALIFORNIA, U.S.A.), TAOS MUSIC FESTIVAL (NEW MEXICO, U.S.A.), ACADEMIE RAVEL (FRANCE), RAVINIA FESTIVAL (CHICAGO, U.S.A.) among others.
For five years, “Young Artist international” invited him to participate in the LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL LAUREATES FESTIVAL, both as soloist and chamber musician.
Among his CD releases are live recordings of his performances in California , with different chamber music works: Souvenir de Florence Sextet by Chaikovsky, C minor String Trio by Beethoven, etc. He has also recorded Rachmaninov and Barber Sonatas and Piazzolla`s Grand Tango , as well as the complete suites for Solo Cello by J. S. Bach, with the Verso label.
He has performed in recital tours in LOS ANGELES, SAN DIEGO , BOSTON , NEW YORK , CHICAGO , etc.
In 2002 he was awarded the Ravel Prize of the Academie Ravel as soloist and chamber musician.
